What is SVMCM Scheme? About Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Scheme
SVMCM (Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme) mostly Known as "Bikash Bhaban Scholarship" has been introduced from the year 2016, is a very Popular Scholarship/Stipend Scheme of Westbengal Higher Education Department for the Student of Westbengal.
Meritorious Students from Economical Weak Family of Westbengal Domicile Pursuing Higher Education from State Funded School/College/University can Apply for This Swami Vivekananda Scholarship.
Student Under This Scheme, get upto 12000 to 96000 Rupees per year from Higher Education fund under Westbengal Government (Bikash Bhaban), for continue their dream Study.
Eligibility for students who can apply for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship
Here are Some Basic Eligibility for students for Registration Under Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for 2021-22 Session.
- Candidate must be domicile of the West Bengal.
- Annual family income of the candidate must not be more than Rs.2.50 lakhs.
Marks Needed: Minimum 60% Marks Needed in Final Board Exam (10th/12th) for Fresh Application.
Before this 2021 Year, 75% Marks was Needed for Application. But from This 2021 Year, the Cut Off Reduce at 60%, so many student can get Benefit of this scholarship.
Eligible Courses:
The Eligible Courses for Bikash Bhaban Scholarship are Below,
- Class 10th Passed student Take admission in 11th std
- Higher Secondary Pass Out Student Take admission in Colleges.
- General Degree Courses (BA, BSc, BCom,)
- Diploma and ITI students
- Engineering Student under AICTE (BTech, BE, BArch) and MTech
- Medical Students (MBBS, BDS or any Diploma)
- Bsc/GNM/ANM Nursing Courses
- Pharmacy Courses (Degree and Diploma)
- Paramedical Courses (Lab tech, OT Tech etc.)
- Post Graduation Masters Courses (MA, MSC)
- B.Ed. Course (Regular)
- M.Phil. and PHD
If a Student of Westbengal Domicile fulfilled this Eligibility Criteria He/She can Apply for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship.
Benefit of Swami Vivekananda Scholarship | SVMCM Scholarship Amount for Different Courses
Student Under This Scheme, get upto 12000 to 96000 Rupees Per year from Higher Education fund under Westbengal Government (Bikash Bhaban), for continue their dream Study.
After Verification of Application (Both Institution and Directorate) the Scholarship Amount is Given Direct in Student's Bank Account.
Course wise the amount is different for each and every stream. In case of Higher Study, The amount is Allotted more than Other Lower Courses.
That's why Medical and Engineering (MBBS, Bsc Nursing, B.Tech and Pharmacy) courses given 60000 Rupees Per Year, in Compare with other General Degree Courses.

Online Application Process of Swami Vivekananda Scholarship @svmcm.wbhed.gov.in
Please follow the bellow steps to fill up the Online Application Form.
Step 1:
Online Registration:
- At first applicants need to fill up and submit the online registration form.
- On successful submission of the Registration Form, an Applicant ID of 15 characters will be generated and it will be used to login and complete the remaining Steps of the Application process.
- The Applicant Id is also required for all future correspondences.
- The Applicant ID will also be sent to the mail id, entered at the time of registration.
Step 2:
Online Application:
- Login with the generated Applicant ID, Password (which was set during Registration Process) and Captcha (Security Code).
- After successful login, fill up rest of the application forms.
- While uploading Scanned Copy of Image (Photograph) and Signature, please maintain File Format and File Size as mentioned.
- Image (Photograph) and Signature format should be JPG/JPEG and size should be in between 20KB-50KB and 10KB-20KB respectively.
Step 3:
Upload Documents:
- After successful submission of application forms, the form to upload scanned supporting document will be appeared.
- Upload all necessary documents as mentioned in the form.
- While uploading, please maintain the File Format and File Size, as mentioned.
- Files should be in PDF format and size should not exceed 400KB.
Step 4:
Final Submission:
- After successful upload of supporting documents, the online application is shown in view mode.
- You can edit the information if needed at that time.
- Now the submission process will be completed by clicking on “Final Submit Application” button from view application.
Note: Please note that after final submission of online application, the application cannot be edited anymore.

- Marksheet of the last examination passed/previous year Marksheet. (Both sides need to be uploaded as PDF format).
- Income Certificate of Family (Format of Income Certificate of Family is available in Official Site menu) Know More » (Group-A Officer to issue Income Certificate.)
- Admission receipt/Fees Payment Receipt for the Admitted Courses/class.
- Any Govt. ID Proof (Aadhar Card, Voter Card, PAN etc.)

Step4: In Profile Page Your Application and Document Upload will Show Pending, So you have to Complete your Renewal Process.
Step5: At First, Click Edit/ View Profile and Dashboard will Open at Left Sidebar.

Step8: For submit your Marks You Have to Fill,
- Your Last Year Exam of Univercity/College
- Total Marks
- Marks You Got
- Your Percentage
So, for College Student You Have to Convert your SGPA/YGPA into Percent for it. And Also calculate total Marks of Exam (i.e. 1600) of Total year from Your Syllabus and Question Pattern.
For Convert your YGPA/SGPA Grade to Percentage (%) you Can Use this Following Tool.
Step9: After fill your Marks, Go to next Step for Document Upload.
