What is MOOCs?
Massive Open Online Courses [MOOCs] is an essential (but not Mandatory) part of AICTE UG Programme especially Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and All Affiliated colleges under Makaut westbengal. MAKAUT MOOCs Course all details will discuss in the Post.
Additional credit Points will be Collected through different platform like NPTEL, Coursera, Edx, Udemy, Simpilearn for the degree of Bachelor of Technology with Honours, which is Called MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses).

It is Totally Upon You, If you want some Extra Credits by Completing some Extra Online Courses, Then Only You Go for Collecting MOOCs. Guidelines For MOOCs for MAKAUT Students
- Additional 20 credits Points (8+4+4+4) will be required from different platform for the degree of Bachelor of Technology with Honours.
- These additional 20 credits will have to be acquired with online courses (MOOCs) as per AICTE.
- Students of B Tech program will have to complete additional 20 credits through MOOCs within 4 years of time.
- 16 credit points is applicable for 3 year UG programs. (BTech Lateral Entry)

Benefits of MOOCs
MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) have been inducted in University curriculum and academic activities in the following ways:
- MOOCs for Honours Degree at Undergraduate Level.
- MOOCs for mandatory Coursework of Research Scholars for Ph.D. degree
- MOOCs are also used for credit transfer as equivalent to theory courses of Curriculum under recommendation of BoS.
- MOOCs for Mandatory Additional Requirements (MAR)

MAKAUT MOOCs Points Collecting Rules for All Courses
For all Degree Courses Under MAKAUT, MOOCs Points for Qualify for Honours is Fixed, all Candidates have to collect minimum that Credit Points to Eligible for MOOCs.
Check the Below table for both AICTE and non-AICTE Courses, at their MOOCs Qualifying Points Criteria at the Ende of The Degree Programme:

For B.Tech Honours Degree, The total of 20 credits that is required to attain
eligibility for B.Tech Honours degree is distributed over four years in the
following way:

For NPTEL/Swayam platform: Credit points as specified in the platform For other MOOCs platforms like Coursera, edX, Udemy, Simpilearn etc.

Uploading of MOOCs Points Data at MAKAUT Student Portal
Every Affiliated Institution has to upload the details of MOOCs data in respect of each
student time to time in University’s examinations portal and/or hard/soft copy as per
instruction of the Controller of Examinations of the University. This is applicable for
University’s In-House Programs also.

- Complete MOOCs Course as per AICTE list
- Complete Minimum Point Requirement for that Academic Year
- Submit Your Course Certificate to the respective Mentor of Your College/Institution or HODs.
- For Online Submission Must give your Original Course Certificate
- Fill a form Given by Your Institute and Submit it Before Last Date, and all is Done.
